We were blown away by the incredible meal we had during our stay at Ballathie House. The food was simply amazing, and we couldn't have asked for better service. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home.

Although there were a few minor drawbacks, such as some dated decor and the rooms getting quite warm at night, they were overshadowed by the overall fantastic experience we had at Ballathie House. With its historical charm, modern facilities, and excellent staff, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I had a great time at this country house hotel. The room was comfortable and had an amazing view of the River Tay. The staff were very attentive and the breakfast was impressive. The chef deserves a Michelin star for the delicious food. The dining facilities were top-notch and the staff were friendly and helpful. I particularly enjoyed being able to stay in the main hotel with my dog. a delightful experience at Ballathie House.

Everything was right here! The hotel is the epitome of a Scottish country house with nostalgic flair. The location is beautiful in a large park directly on the river. The restaurant offers first class cuisine. The staff is very friendly. We have felt completely comfortable and can recommend this hotel without reservation!

I had such a memorable experience at Ballathie House. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my dining experience was exceptional. The head waiter's passion for describing the food and drink was truly admirable. The dishes were not only delicious, but they also had a unique texture that set them apart from other restaurants. The location of the hotel, right next to the river, added to the overall charm. Despite a couple of minor issues, such as warm and cold areas in the house and some noise from rooms above, my stay was still absolutely wonderful.

Booked a country house weekend but stayed in an annexe instead of the country house - it rained the entire weekend so this was extremely inconvenient. Also found that there were 4 choices for each course for dinner and wasn't sure I would enjoy any of them so we chose to eat elsewhere.

My recent stay at the fabulous Scottish country house, Ballathie House, was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by a lovely group of people who went above and beyond to ensure my time there was unforgettable. The setting, overlooking the peaceful river Tay, was simply breathtaking. The staff, from reception to the maitre d', chef, waiters, and room attendants. The dinner at the restaurant was superb, with a menu of high-quality dishes that exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail, such as accommodating my wife's dietary restrictions, was truly remarkable. Ballathie House Hotel provided a delightful experience that combined both luxury and warmth.

Our bedroom in the hotel annex was very peaceful, large and comfortable with the added bonus of a balcony overlooking the gardens and River Tay. Each night we retuned to immaculately cleaned rooms. Breakfasts were excellent, with a wide choice, served by friendly,efficient staff. Although we have had dinner in the hotel on a previous visit in February 2008, we chose this visit, as the days were longer and as we were travelling about visiting various local places of interest, to eat out .On our last evening however we did enjoy a bar meal from the all day menu which was served to us in the lounge. This was very enjoyable and again the service was excellent.

We stayed at Ballathie House for two nights and it was an absolute delight. The hotel is nestled in the beautiful countryside, right by the River Tay, offering breathtaking views. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more pleasant. We enjoyed a delicious evening meal in the cozy bar, and our room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. Our dogs were also treated like VIPs, making our stay truly memorable.

Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.
